Question.
So... I'm about to start an edit. First time I've ever had a rehearsal dinner... Some great speeches. I typically edit chronologically.
I cant actually see my using a lot of the 1st day. Not much happened. Would it be odd to use the speeches from the rehearsal dinner throughout the chronological wedding day film? Or will it be distracting that it's not in wedding attire, quite obviously not at the venue...
Hey all! Just joined up. 🤗 Hope you're all doing well.
Question - The recent video from Justin Porter said he was putting something up on connecting Zapier and Chat and email - is that up and if so, where? I couldn't seem to find it.
Thanks!
Getting really tired of using Google Drive (it sucks). Are there better options? I already use VidFlow for deliverables to clients, but I still need an option like Google Drive.

Pr-2’s came in! Outside of my camera, I have never spent much money on equipment. I vowed to take my business more serious this year and this is the first step. I’m excited to see what God does and how far I’ve progressed by the end of the year!

Not wedding related but has anyone ever shot anything for a police department? I’m being asked to shoot a recruitment video for them, but I’ve never done anything like this. If you’ve done anything like this, what have you offered them as far as approach, deliverables, etc.?
Wassup y’all! I just joined and I’m excited to network and potentially work with everyone should it be in God’s will 🙏🏿
I’m a videographer based out of San Antonio and I’ve been doing video for about 3 years but I’ve been shooting weddings for only a couple of months now. It’s been hard for me to find a community out here in San Antonio, so if anyone wants to grab a cup of coffee or lunch sometime, I’d love to connect!
Yo it’s been a while since I’ve posted but just want to share some gratitude. I’m so lucky to have found this academy so early on in my video career. I feel like I skipped a lot of filler video styles and went straight to the butter . Weddings are slowly picking up but I’ve been implementing this style in everything I shoot and I just finished a project for a local live theater that really stood out to me. They have been in the industry and do really amazing shows but have been struggling to get their name out there . They’ve hired multiple videographers and didn’t quite achieve their goal . I pulled up timecode in hand , passing out lavs like candy and interviewing everyone to really build a story. They were shocked with the results and were incredibly thankful and for the first time ever I feel like I “saved” a business with my storytelling . Thanks to you guys , this community of people who choose to go the extra mile to do what a storyteller is supposed to do. Here is the video , critique is welcome but I’m on a high right now so let’s try to stick to praise and fire emojis 😄
Shout out to Justin for the vidflow recommendation!! I just delivered my first video on the platform and it’s worth every penny!!

Just joined from Justin's recent live, scrolling through the community page got me inspired already.
I'm Tony, mainly a street photographer at the moment, but I've done a lot of photo/video work throughout the years. I shoot on a Canon m6 mkii, not the best kit but it gets the job done. I'll add some of my fav pics to this post, but if you wanna see most of my work, its on my IG.
This year I'm trying to take it more seriously, and branch out more into making content. Unfortunately, I had a pretty costly incident in may last year, It cost me my job, and I might have to sell my camera to pay rent this month, but hey, thats just life, there's always a way. If anyone needs some remote video editing, I'm very capable. I don't have much examples besides what I have posted online, but I'm happy to cut up a draft for free so you can judge if I'm a good fit. I've been using Davinci, Capture One, and Affinity for years.
Besides all that, I'm glad to be a part of this community, and getting to know you all better. Looking forward to making some new internet friends.
Hope you're all happy and healthy and ready for success in 2025. Lets GOOOO!
Need some advice. I’m looking to get into lav audio recording, personally I don’t have $1k to drop on 4 recorders, 4 lavs, and a TC box since I’m saving for my own wedding. However, from last year I got the rode wireless pro. I could get another rode wireless go and their TRS splitter so I can Mic 4 people up for audio. Unless someone has a better idea because I’m researching and struggling to find a good solution that does not break the bank. I like the idea in slowly investing in good gear however, I might have 3 more shoots this year that are 4-6 people so I don’t have a clear direction. TYIA
