So for dialogue, you only need to record that as a mono track. You would never mix vocals in stereo. Bands and instruments you can do stereo. Keep in mind, if you record everything in stereo most editing software will let you turn it into mono in post.

Time code issues your mentioning seem to be a frame rate issue. Can you take screenshots and post. Make sure the project frame rate also matches.

Lack of time code. Time code is essential for doc style shooting. The new DR10 Pro offers time code via Bluetooth but I still don’t recommend it because it’s only compatible to ultrasync blue. I prefer a device that’s capable of being jammed with any hardware. DR10s are great short term recording solutions in my opinion. 

I use mounts that are designed for the mics. You still hear a tad bit of rustle but much at all honestly. This is definitely the way to go for micing them all day.

My favorites have been the Aputure MC lights. Are you wanting low cost interview lighting?
