Oh yea man the pockets are awesome. You can jam timecode through the mic jack but still run xlr to both channels. It auto detects timecode and doesn’t need to be recorded as a sound file. I do this all the time.

Sometimes I do. It depends, sometimes I just need actual dialogue sound bite and I can use footage from the room or moment itself to connect it to.
