Some Florida BTS. So glad I got to work with Nicholas Vo from the academy this past week. I learned so much while shooting with him. 🙌

I recently had the chance to work with Justin in Texas, and it completely changed my approach to capturing events. The importance of soundbites really clicked. I incorporated that into my latest film, and it’s poppin’ off here in Maine. I couldn’t be more proud. Huge thanks to Justin for showing me the way!

Hey everyone!

I’m considering investing in 8 VB99 V-Mount batteries. I’ll use 4 to power my cameras and 4 for my lights. I’ve been testing and calculating runtimes, and everything seems to check out. My goal is to simplify my power workflow.

For those of you with experience using VB99s or a similar setup, do you think this plan makes sense? Any potential issues I might be overlooking? I’d love to hear your thoughts or advice before making the purchase!

Thanks in advance!

I wanted to share my recent experience with these HollyLand C1 headsets. I must say, they truly are an absolute game-changer for video production.

We don’t have the models with noise cancellation (which would be killer during busy wedding environments) but they kept the squad in sync, and that’s all that matters. On top of being incredibly useful, they make us look like absolute pros. When the headsets go on, they know we mean business. 🎧 😂

I recently pulled the trigger on a 3 pack of deity TC-1 timecode units. While doing some research as to what microphone system to pair them with, I came across the deity PR-2 that is expected to launch in September. The only thing you need to know about these units is that they will record 32bit, sync timecode wirelessly and have 30 hours of continuous battery life. All of this in a much smaller footprint than the BP-TRX.

I don’t know the pricing yet, but I intend to get a fleet of these as soon as they’re on market. I’m interested to hear everyone’s thoughts on this, especially in comparison to the BP-TRX.

Hello everyone!

In the dynamic world of wedding filmmaking, our equipment stands as the backbone of our craft. However, accidents happen, and security concerns persist. That’s why it’s crucial to have the right protection in place.

Today, I invite you to share your experiences, insights, and stories about safeguarding your gear and the insurance companies you trust. Let’s dive into a discussion about:

1. Insurance Company Recommendations:

Have you found a reliable insurance company that specializes in coverage for video production equipment? If so, I’d love to hear about your preferred providers and what sets them apart. Share any helpful tips or advice you’ve gathered during your search.

2. Real-Life Scenarios:

As professionals, we’ve encountered various situations where our equipment has been subjected to unexpected mishaps. Have you ever experienced a nightmare scenario where your gear was damaged while on the job? Perhaps a tripod took an unfortunate tumble or a bridesmaid jumped into a pool with a microphone on. How did you handle the situation, and did your insurance coverage come into play?

3. Theft Prevention Strategies:

Theft is an unfortunate reality in any industry, and weddings are no exception. If you’ve ever had equipment stolen while working on a project, I’d like to hear about your experience. How did you recover from it, and what measures have you implemented to enhance the security of your equipment on the job?

Let the conversation begin! Your contributions are highly valued and appreciated. 😄

Warm regards,

Jadyha
